Rubber to metal bonding adhesive 840 is a one-coat surface treatment used to affix castable and millable polyurethane elastomers to metals and other rigid substrates. It is composed of a mixture of polymers and resins dissolved in an organic solvent system.

Applicable Range

  • Used as a cover coat adhesive and in combination with a primer adhesive, suitable for the following types of rubber: Natural rubber (NR), Natural & butadiene rubber (NR+BR), Polyisoprene rubber (IR), Butadiene rubber (BR), Chloroprene rubber (CR), Styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), Butyl rubber (IIR), EPDM, etc.

Shelf Life/Storage

  • Shelf life is 12 months from date of shipment when stored at < 37℃ in original, unopened container. Do not store or use near heat, sparks or open flame.
